Dal 1989 il Centro Tutela e Ricerca Fauna Esotica e Selvatica - Monte Adone (Associazione di volontariato ONLUS) soccorre, cura e riabilita la fauna selvatica autoctona ritrovata ferita sul territorio di Bologna e provincia con lo scopo di reintrodurla in natura; accoglie inoltre la fauna esotica sequestrata per commercio/detenzione illegale e maltrattamento (www.centrotutelafauna.org)Il 9 gennaio 2012 il lupo Navarre è stato recuperato dalle gelide acque di un fiume in condizioni davvero drammatiche: denutrito, con una paresi agli arti posteriori e con 35 pallini di piombo in corpo.Dopo diverse indagini diagnostiche, due settimane di terapia intensiva in infermeria, monitorato 24 ore su 24, Navarre ha ricominciato a camminare ed è stato trasferito in una struttura, all'interno del Centro, idonea alla sua riabilitazione che richiede una ripresa graduale delle funzioni motorie senza sottoporlo a sforzi eccessivi. Moreover the Monte Adone Center welcomes the exotic animal species sequestered because of their illegal trading, detention and mistreatment (www.centrotutelafauna.org).On January 9, 2012 the wolf Navarre was recovered from the icy waters of a river in very dramatic conditions: undernourished, with a paralysis of the hind limbs and with 35 lead pellets in his body.After several diagnostic tests, two weeks of intensive care in the infirmary, monitored 24 hours 24, Navarre started to walk. He was transferred to another enclosure of the Centre, suitable for his rehabilitation, which requires a gradual recovery of motor function without subjecting him to excessive physical effort.
