AARON NEVILLE : "YOU NEVER CAN TELL (C'EST LA VIE)" (1993)
VIDEO: FAMOUS DANCE SCENE (JACK RABBIT SLIM'S TWIST CONTEST) WITH UMA THURMAN AND JOHN TRAVOLTA , EXTRACTED FROM "PULP FICTION" (1994) - THE CULT MOVIE, CO-WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY QUENTIN TARANTINOI REPLACED ORIGINAL CHUCK BERRY'S SONG IN THE MOVIE WITH AARON NEVILLE'S VERSION, BECAUSE OF TECHNICALLY BETTER SOUND, BUT HERE ON YOU-TUBE EMPOVERISHED ALL TUNES DOWN TO 128kbps WITH LOW VOLUME.. I COULD ALSO STICK CHUCK BERRY'S ORIGINAL FROM 1964 IN IT, IF I HAD HIS RECORD AT THE TIME, WHICH I DIDN'T... BUT IT'S NOT A BIG DIFFERENCE IN BETWEEN THESE TWO VERSIONS, BOTH ARE NICE DANCEABLE SIMPLE THREE CHORDS ROCK 'N' ROLL TUNES... I HAD NO INTENTION TO INTERFERE, TO RUIN, TO DIMINISHED THE SCENE, OR TO OFFEND ANYBODY, ANYHOW.. IT'S REALLY EXCEPTIONAL MOVIE AND I BELIEVE, THAT I DIDN'T TAKE NOTHING ESSENTIAL, OR ADD ANY DAMAGE TO IT, WITH THIS SMALL INTERVENTION.. JUST POSTED THIS FOR FUN.. NO OTHER AMBITIONS..I'M NOT THE AUTHOR OF ANYTHING..MUSIC: AARON NEVILLE'S COVER OF CHUCK BERRY'S SONGALBUM: "THE GRAND TOUR" (1993) AARON NEVILLE"YOU NEVER CAN TELL"It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them wellYou could see that Pierredid truly love the mademoiselleAnd now the young monsieurand madame have rung the chapel bell,"C'est la vie", say the old folks,it goes to show you never can tellThey furnished off an apartmentwith a two room Roebuck saleThe coolerator was crammedwith TV dinners and ginger ale,But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well"C'est la vie", say the old folks,it goes to show you never can tellThey had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blastSeven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazzBut when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell"C'est la vie", say the old folks,it goes to show you never can tellThey bought a souped-up jitney,'twas a cherry red '53,They drove it down New Orleansto celebrate their anniversaryIt was there that Pierre was marriedto the lovely mademoiselle"C'est la vie", say the old folks,it goes to show you never can tellWritten byCHUCK BERRYPublished byLyrics © BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT US, LLC
