November 27 – Day of Marines of the Russian Armed Forces. It commemorates foundation of the first regiment of marines approved by the order of Peter the Great on November 27, 1705.At present, all Marine units are constantly ready for performing the assigned missions all over the world. The units are being equipped with modern armament and military hardware.
