In 1960, she was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for January. She was listed among the 100 sexiest stars of the 20th century (#27). During the 1960's, she was one of the top ten most photographed women in the world, along with Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Ann-Margret and Raquel Welch. In 1962, she starred opposite Elvis Presley in "Girls! Girls! Girls!". Later, she portrayed Jerry Lewis's love interest in the 1962 "The Nutty Professor". In 1972, she appeared in Irwin Allen's "The Poseidon Adventure".
