Swing of the 50s and 60s @ Teatro Dal VermeWhat is the connection between The Beatles, irish music, big bands, rock bands and bowed string instruments? In 2016, after the great success of the previous shows, a new swing event took place in Milan at Teatro Dal Verme. In this year the event was dedicated to 50s and 60s swing music, exploring its connection to the more modern music that became popular during those years. The show hosted the usual Paolo Tomelleri Big Band with a new section of bowed string instruments, two pianist and two drums.Like every year, guest stars from all over the world and different group of dancers.“Take five” is a classic jazz piece, written by Paul Desmond and recorded by Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1959. It is considered a Jazz Standard and it has a very peculiar quintuple time (which is the reason of the title).------------------------------------------------------Listen to the full album on Spotify!spotify:album:4fY1bPUWSy1F2X24LKf1E6------------------------------------------------------Paolo Tomelleri Big Bandfeat.
