Swing of the 50s and 60s @ Teatro Dal VermeWhat is the connection between The Beatles, irish music, big bands, rock bands and bowed string instruments?In 2016, after the great success of the previous shows, a new swing event took place in Milan at Teatro Dal Verme. In this year the event was dedicated to 50s and 60s swing music, exploring its connection to the more modern music that became popular during those years. The show hosted the usual Paolo Tomelleri Big Band with a new section of bowed string instruments, two pianist and two drums.Like every year, guest stars from all over the world and different group of dancers.This The Beatles medley include two very popular songs of them: “Eleanor Rigby”, written in 1966 and “Here Comes the Sun”, composed three years later. During the show Anita Camarella performed the first one, along with the Big Band and the violinist Luca Campioni. The second song was played with an irish arrangement and danced by Umberto Crespi’s Gens D’Ys.Paolo Tomelleri Big Bandfeat.
