The incomparable Russian National Orchestra performing a rousing encore-- "Lezginka" by Khachaturian. Vladimir Spivakov was the conductor of the orchestra at this time. The concertmaster is Alexei Bruni who co-founded the RNO with Mikhail Pletnev in 1990. And yes, the percussionist is banging away on the metal rim of the drum! (Please don't let my terrible camera work distract from the joyful exuberance of this work!)
