Полная версияLa Pointe Courte - Agnès Varda Of cats and lovers
« 'La Pointe Courte' is a critical success everywhere. It’s shown as a model for the rebirth of cinema, because it presents another approach, another vision. And thanks to this innovative, unusual, low-budget film, I was nicknamed “Grandmother of the Nouvelle Vague”. 1954 was four or five years before the first Nouvelle Vague films, like 'Les Quatre Cents Coups' and 'À bout de Souffle'. When I was 30, there was a magazine article with a picture of me, and the caption read “The Ancestor of the Nouvelle Vague”. I thought: “An ancestor at 30? I won’t get any older than that! Great!” »Agnès Varda
