Mark Arian -Born in Des Moines, Iowa in June 1947, Arian was offered a full scholarship in the Masters' Program from the New York Academy of Art. His formal art training includes; a private art academy in Florence, Italy; the Frudakis Academy of Classic Realism in painting and sculpture, Philadelphia, PA; and Northwest Missouri State College at Marysville, MO. These many years of intense study and training in anatomy and figure drawing, classical composition, color theory, and an in-depth study of great master realist painters have served to mature his skills and refine his eye as artist of art, prints and posters.Between 1968 and 1987, Arian worked as an illustrator and designer for three different publishers in New York and Los Angeles. During this time, he also became art director and design coordinator for the Palace of Gold, subject of numerous articles in major magazines such as The Washington Post and the largest tourist attraction in West Virginia. Arians art, prints and posters are now available as limited editions and open edition. His popularity has mushroomed in recent years with his paintings attracting the attention of collectors and galleries nationwide.
