It was directed by Jack Clayton and produced by David Merrick, from a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, The Great Gatsby. It is distributed by Paramount Pictures."Are You Lonesome Tonight?" is a 1926 song. It was written by Roy Turk and Lou Handman. This song was recorded by Elvis Presley on April 4, 1960 (RCA Studio B, Nashville, Tennessee) and released on November 1, 1960 trough the Label Label RCA Victor. Sound recording administered by SME.Norah sang this song as a tribute to Elvis Presley. Norah doesn´t do the narration but the band really gets into the song and the guitarist blends well with the piano. Norah added the next lines:"Do the chairs in your parlor...Seem empty and bareDo you gaze at your doorstep...And picture me thereIs your heart filled with pain...Shall I come back againTell me dear...Are you lonesome tonight""...I wonder if you're lonesome tonightYou know someone said that the world's a stageAnd each must play a part.Fate had me playing in love you as my sweet heart.Act one was when we met, I loved you at first glanceYou read your line so cleverly and never missed a cueThen came act two, you seemed to change and you acted strangeAnd why I'll never know.Honey, you lied when you said you loved meAnd I had no cause to doubt you.But I'd rather go on hearing your liesThan go on living without you.Now the stage is bare and I'm standing thereWith emptiness all aroundAnd if you won't come back to meThen make them bring the curtain down...”___________________________________________________________________________________________________This upload has the purpose of promoting a fine piece of music and has no commercial purpose.
