However, many recordings he left behind are the Italian fascist songs, e.g. those praising the Italian-Ethiopian war of 1936. Therefore he must have been involved in the fascist movement, what, probably, relegated him to the margins of Italian cultural life after the collapse of Mussolini's regime. Never the less, listening to his renditions of Italian popular hits from the 1930s., provide the real pleasure.
