Uploaded By ► Red Grey Matter''Enjoy Your Day'' Buy Album: https://t.ly/iWk4 ''Mistaken'' by Soupbone.The Soupbone Blues Band includes Garry Grosso on rhythm guitar, Joel Gyselinck on lead guitar, Dean Fulton on lead vocals, keyboards, and harmonica, Brandon Fauteux on drums, and Shane Boxeur on bass guitar and vocals.Soupbone is known for its hard driving, very danceable rock, rhythm n’ blues, soul and funk sound that has been heard in concerts at various venues around the city including the Overlander Pub last spring and Performances in the Park. Lead Me On features 11 original songs written by band members in various collaborations: Don’t Miss You at All; End of the Day; Old Johnny Walker; Lead Me On; Mistaken; Shoulda’ Known Better; Leave Your Troubles at the Door; Voodoo Doll; Would You; Boomerang; and Tina’s are all featured on the CD.The band has three songs already recorded and 14 more ready to get polished up for their follow up cd.“We just want to take a breath and savor the moment then get right back to recording again. We are still actively gigging and rehearsing to support the cd locally and throughout the province. You can’t rest on your laurels, you’ve got to keep digging,” says Grosso.The album was recorded last fall in Grosso’s rehearsal studio in Williams Lake in a marathon session with professional recording engineers Marcel Keatting-Olivier and Lorne Seaton from Vancouver. It was then mixed in another session in Vancouver and released on the Chilli Dog Records label.Rather than recording individual tracks, the band recorded the album “live from the floor” with everyone playing together in the tradition of the great blues artists because they wanted the album to have that authentic live feeling to it.The band has also recently been added to the Nanaimo Blues Festival this summer and will be hanging with some heavyweights in the blues world including The Downchild Blues Band.“The cd is really opening up some doors for us. We put our heart and soul into this thing and it’s nice to see the hard work pay off.
