Claudja Barry was born in Jamaica, 1952, raised in Canada, before coming to Germany in the early 70s to try her luck. She was a short-time member of an early line-up of Boney M. in 1975/76 but went solo when she met (and fell in love with) producer Jürgen Korduletsch. She released a string of albums over the next decade, "Sweet Dynamite" being the first album of hers. It was radically transformed on its US release when Tom Moulton scrapped half of the tracks and extended and remixed the other half.This particular expanded version includes all versions, both the US versions and the original European mixes plus the B-side "Disco Love" (modelled on Penny McLean's massive "Lady Bump").
