A lovelorn Anuradha is missing her beloved Suraj as she remembers the tender moments spent together. She looks for him and waits for his return to her soon. Even the beautiful Kashmir valley cannot fill the void his absence has created in her heart. 'Pighalta Aasman' is the story of Delhi-based businesswoman Arti Singh Rathod (Rakhee), who lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her grandmother and friend and employee, Anuradha (Rati Agnihotri). She decides to travel to Kashmir and take possession of a piece of land that is being occupied by Suraj Arora (Shashi Kapoor). Once in Kashmir, Suraj and Arti fall in love with each other.
